Commitment
United Certification Services LLC is committed to impartiality in all certification activities. This policy establishes the binding requirements for maintaining impartiality across all operations and personnel.
Scope
This policy applies to all personnel, auditors, subcontractors and external service providers engaged by United Certification Services LLC in any certification-related activity.
Prohibition of consultancy
The following activity is strictly prohibited for all personnel and auditors: providing consultancy services to clients seeking certification or currently certified by United Certification Services LLC.
A cooling-off period of 24 months applies after any consultancy engagement or employment relationship with a client before that individual may participate in certification activities for the same client.
Subcontractors
All subcontractors and external auditors engaged by United Certification Services LLC must contractually commit to the requirements of this policy before engagement.
Impartiality Committee
United Certification Services LLC maintains an independent Impartiality Committee to provide oversight and safeguard impartiality. The committee reviews impartiality risks, complaints and any cases referred by management.
